I'm no expert on these matters, but I've always understood that fitting this is a pretty specialised job, unless you want it peeling off after a month. Whether they do it for you or not, the main dealers will at least be able to tell you where you can buy it.

I'm confused (as usual) :D Are we talking car window tint, or nylon/aluminum mesh for home window screens? Pete

If we're talking about cars I have another question; can you take the stuff off again?
The dealers fitted it to my pick-up when I bought it as some sort of promotion but now after five years it has a sort of small ripple in it and it's slightly annoying when driving.

Now, I may be missing something here, but I have a sneaky feeling the OP is inquiring about insect screens, as I can't imagine he would have mentioned "HomePro" and other "hardware" stores if for a vehicle. I also noted he mentioned window screens rather than windscreens..... :duck:

Only kidding guys.

OP, there is a place on the main road not far from the second set of traffic lights heading out of to Cha-am. It's on the right hand side, just next door to quite a big lighting shop. They also sell glass and other related products. You can buy just the mesh, or you can get them to make up the screens for you.

In that case removing the insect screen from my front door won't improve my driving!

The answer is 'yes', as it can be replaced, but I don't know if you can do it yourself.

Cheers, I'll perhaps get it replaced then as anything less than buying a new windscreen would be preferable.

Hi Tony, the place I mentioned is in Hua-Hin. If you're heading north, you go past the main traffic lights in the center of town, past the second set of lights, and the shop is not far along, situated on the right hand side of the road. You'll easily see the shop next door which sell lights as many are on display. The place for the screens and etc is just next door.

Good luck

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Was handed a card for CHANG SIN SERVICES today, amongst other things, they do the dark film for windows for houses and cars. No address (just Hua Hin). Not a recommendation, for info only.

I'd be very careful in removing that if you have a heater element for defrosting the rear window as it can take off the element material with it. Don't think pickups have the heater element though.
