From Cha Am drive south along bypass to Pala U road intersection at km marker
28. From Hua Hin drive west out of town along the Pala U road to the bypass
intersection. Then everybody head west towards Pala U, and zero your
odometer AS YOU PASS UNDER the new flyover at the intersection.
(NB At 1.2 km if you look to your left, just before the fancy Dhevan Dara Resort and Spa which
is on the right, ( where SMALL bottles of Chang cost 152 baht!! ), you will see a Thai restaurant
set back off the road. The On On On will be at the Thai restaurant where LARGE bottles of
Chang cost 60 baht and the food looks good. The location will allow Cha-Ammers to proceed
home directly north on the bypass, and Pranburians to do the same southwards, if they attend
the On On On.)
Continue west to odometer reading 10.1 km , when you will see a PTT gas/petrol
station on your right hand side. Proceed another 2 - 300 m down a small slope to
an intersection on the right hand side. Turn right off the Pala U road at this " T "
junction. (NO HHH sign, did not want to desecrate the DOLE PINEAPPLE
FACTORY sign) Proceed north past the pineapple processing factory on your
left, to a sharp left hand bend at odometer reading 13.1 km. Follow the road for
another 200 m to car park by a lake, on left hand side. (HHH sign).
The walkers will have a good stretch of their legs in beautiful virgin hash
territory, and the runners will have the same plus a "minor speed bump" which
will provide panoramic views of lakes and hills in the area and ample reason to
curse the hares. Fingers crossed for sunshine.

For those of you who don't know the Hash House Harriers, we get together every week in a new location for a 1 hour run/walk/crawl around the wilds of Hua Hin/Cha Am followed by an hour's drinking and socialising (All in for 150Baht for drinkers, 100 for non-drinkers) those who wish then move on to a local eatery to continue the party.
