Does anyone know where we can by oxygen bleach powder in HH?
Have been told it cleans the grout in the floor tiles very well..... brings it up like new.
Or any other alternatives for cleaning the said grout would be very useful as well.
Thanks in advance
can use draga this is thai toilet cleaner 13 % hydrochloric acid can burn if not carefull your skin a bit but cleans tile grout
its avalible in some hardware shops or hydrochloric for swimming pools this is potent stuff handel with care this can burn skin real good!!!!!
Roll up some lengths of tissue paper and soak it in the liquid then lay it along the grout lines for about 30 minutes. Floor grout in light colours seems to end up a dirty grey colour after a few months anyway, so it may be better to rake out some of the old grout and redo it with a grey colour.
If you don't have the correct tool a piece from a broken hacksaw blade will work to remove a few mm depth.
can use draga this is thai toilet cleaner 13 % hydrochloric acid.......
I would guess (not an authority on it though) that the problem here with the water is with limescale etc content, really you need an extra water cleaner strapped to the house before the water enters your place which then needs a water tank/pump etc.......otherwise.....
Try the white Vixol toilet cleaner, it's 20% hydrochloric acid (serious stuff)......think it the most powerful generally available at Tesco etc without going down the import cleaners route that cost much more.
Thanks guys for the suggestions..... keep them coming, it will give me something to do over the next few weeks...... down on my knees grout cleaning, the whole house is tiled so may need some new knee joints by the end of it!!!
Vixol is the one I used to use - with a scrubing brush. There may well be a high limescale content in the water as Spitfire says, but the buildup you get on tiles is slimy and dirty as well. Obviously wet rooms are worst affected - but when cleaning any tiles you are essentially using dirty water for the job. It's just one of those things that needs doing very regularly I'm afraid.
Makes you wonder though if thats why Thais don't seem to use white grouting!
There are a variety of liquid grout sealers available at places like Home Pro. After its clean and dry not a bad idea to put on a coating. Normal mopping should then be enough to keep the grout looking like new. I don't know the life of the stuff though, I would think yearly applications would be enough on a floor, and six months for a bathroom and shower. Pete

Thanks everyone for the latest suggestions, which ever way you look at there is an amount of elbow grease required, will try the toilet cleaner and then look out for the grout sealer in Home Pro ......
Our water does not appear to be that hard as the kettle is always sparking inside, no limescale, but then we do have an under the sink Clarte 5 stage filter which gets most of the impurities out.
The wet room/shower room is not that bad a good scrub with Mr Muscle Bathroom Cleaner gets that looking as new, its just a couple of areas with high traffic in the hall/lounge area that are bad.

Did it bring the grout up? or clean it well?
Thanks!
