9 Thai soldiers detained over Mekong killings

This isn't good, it's come to light that these soldiers were involved in anti-drug operations and some of the Chinese killed were found with hands bound and mouths gagged.

Slightly confusing though that the report quotes someone saying that these soldiers had nothing to do with the Thai army and "surrendered" on their own accord to authorities....

Chinese are rightly pissed-off about it........maybe you all can make more sense of it?

First it was river pirates then drug gangs now military members. The story keeps changing. So will have to see with this ends up. Its sounds pretty fishy to me.

It's progressed in that the 9 soldiers, or at least some of them, have been indicted. Pete
