1 air con unit with outlets to 3 rooms

Post by bapak »

At at previous location, we were able to install 1 air con unit with outlets to 3 rooms.... Every air con contractor that we have talked to in HH say no can do. Anyone had experience with such an installation here in HH?

those airconditioners are known as a multi-split system. Carrier started it years ago, but now a google search shows that other manufacturers have followed suit. They are sold as a system, so you may have to do a bit of research and download the model specifications that best suit your application. Most aircon installers in Thailand would be familiar only with the single split type as they are the most common.
This (Thai, but in English) website may help... :)

We don't have that multi-split system, but we use fewer (larger) industrial type units (hidden above the ceiling with vents only in view) and duct work to cool 15 rooms and various hallways using 8 actual units. Ours are Daikin but you pretty much have to install the inside units, vents, and duct work during construction so not a good thing to try to add to an already built house I wouldn't think. We had to go to Bangkok to find someone qualified to do this but that was a few years ago. Maybe someone here is capable of doing it now.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Had K.Nut visit us. He had details about what I was looking for... brochures, etc.
He worked for some time in Saudi Arabia... where it was common.
Thanks
