Do as I do, providing you have an enclosed shed or something similar. If not, you can use one of those bamboo cage things the Thais use for keeping their roosters in.
1. Buy a small bag of corn/chicken feed
2. Sprinkle some in a line to where you want the pigeons to go, and then put their main course there
3. They are scavengers, and will go into a feeding frenzy, while you walk up and close the door behind them
4. Capture and kill
5. boil up and feed to the dogs or if you want, eat them yourself
If you trap them, but don't fancy killing them, and nearby workers will almost certainly be grateful for the free meat.
If you use one of the cages, simply tilt one side up off the ground, supported by a stick. Tie a piece of string to the stick, and put the corn inside. Once they're having a feast, pull the stick away so the cage closes them in, and then follow the above mentioned steps. Shooting them will not help unless you kill them. If you leave them be, more will come. We cull, and within days they are everywhere.....as many as 20 or 30, that invite themselves to come and share the chicken food. I wouldn't really mind, but I also don't see why I mus spend 200 baht a week feeding them, just so they can crap on everything.
Now, if you speak to a few Brits, I'm sure there are some who can tell you exactly how to cook them. They can actually taste rather nice, but you need to do it right, and preparing them is a pain in the butt.
Pigeon pie springs to mind......lol.

Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
