Dream on, I'm afraid. Maybe send off a request to the Jap HQ in Japan and you might get one after they send you back a reply saying you have to pay costs and postage.

A friend of mine bought a Mitsu Pajero Sport a couple of months ago and had a 'devil-of-a-time' getting an manual in English for that, and he was spending 1.2 million baht on the thing. It was possible, but the sales staff wanted to charge him 500 baht to get it until he 'kicked-up-a-stink' about paying so much money for the car and having to pay extra for the English manual which the garage had to send off for. Eventually they just sorted it out for him but took somewhere in the region of about 2 weeks or something thereabouts.

However, fair enough with a new Pajero but that approach might not cut it with a Yamaha Mio.

Edit - This wasn't in HH though, so maybe you can try your luck but I wouldn't hold your breath on this one.

Most real companies put their manuals online in many languages. I've found Honda auto and mower manuals in pdf form online as well as manuals for most of the appliances we've bought here that came with Thai, Chinese, or Japanese manuals. Try searching for the exact year, make and model with the word manual and you may just find what you're looking for on the internet.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Taking HHF's advice (which is quite right) then you might be able to get it from somewhere like here (or Rapidshare/Fileserve etc) but you perhaps have to create an account and log in or do the free download thing that takes a bit longer.

Have a look.........

Hi
Never mind about manual, english, Thai, or anything. If you rent a bike from me you don't need a manual.
And..... A good bike......And...........A good price.....

Yamaha UK has a link to download handbooks/manuals, perhaps you can find a similar one

I'm not trying to be pedantic here but can you picture buying a car in the UK and demanding a manual in Thai ? The same as when you hear of people complaining that the website for XXXX isn't very English friendly. Can anybody point me to a British company website that is Thai friendly ?
I can't understand how you can pay all that money for a car yet kick up a fuss over 500 baht for an English manual ? Sorry
Have you tried to download one from the internet ?

Hardly a fuss... :?
Seems like a perfectly normal request to me. Picketing the showroom with placards would be a fuss!

As for the broader point about languages, surely it's all about your customer base? If a British company was targeting a Thai market, then yes, I would expect it to be "Thai friendly".
This is the way

I didn't realize Thai had gained accepted international language status! Cool.

Seriously. Nobody was kicking up a fuss of complaining, it was a simple request. The reason you don't find 'Thai friendly' websites/manuals from British companies is that there's no financial incentive to do so.

And I'm not trying to be pedantic, but a Yamaha Mio 125cc sounds plike it is more than probably a bike, not a car.
