Hey guys!
Q.
Is there anyone who tried the Tiger 110 retro and can give me an idea of what its like, crap or is it a decent bike for the money?
I realise that it wont be the same in quality and performance as a new honda wave, but im not looking for a quick bike, just something that will take me around town and the nearby area with some style
My friend bought one of these new and has sworn never again. Nothing but problems.
The difference in price from the Honda is not all that much, and the savings don't compensate for the inconvenience and down time for repairs. These bikes are much harder to resell and don't hold their value.
I bought a Tiger 110 step-thru' about 6 years ago..ran it for about 2 years, then 'awarded' it to my wife's family in the Issan-outback...it seems this bike is bullet-proof..it has outlasted all the Hondas, and it still used to go to the fields every day..OK I cannot speak for all the Tiger-owners, but this one has served us well.
Can't really comment, but it would take an extremely good salesman to convince me any of these scooters are better than the Honda Waves. No matter how hard I've tried, my Wave just does not die. As long as you put in petrol, change tires and brake shoes once in a while, they just keep going, and that with a side hack on which is often loaded with people or goods.
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
I have 3 vehicles, one small Suzuki car and two motorcycles.
One is a Tiger Boxer 250 RS and the other one a Tiger Retro 110 with sidecar.
The motorcycles are quite new, the 250 has 5000 km and the 110 only 2000km
on the clock. But so far I didn´t have any problems with them.
It seems to me Tiger Motors makes good quality bikes for a very reasonable price.
Before I bought these bikes I owned a 3 years old Honda Wave, which I bought
second hand with 12000 km. I used it for 2 years without any problems.
