buying a motorbike

Post by bluke »

I will be in Hua Hin for a month in April and then hope to retire to Hua Hin in August.
What is the procedure for buying a motorbike from a dealership and what papers do I need.

Its easy. Firstly plan on paying full amount. Bring your passport. You will need a form with a "Permanent address"(Basically an address where you will live). Some places have what I call a "Farang Fee" to register a bike to a non resident. They might try and scam you for a 1000 baht. Tell them NO! If you have the docs you are good.

I have 3 Motos and all 3 are registered in my name. A Honda RVF, a Wave and my GF's Scoopy I. Its really quite easy.
