Cocktail Accessoires

Post by kendo »

Hi Chaps,
My stepson is studding hospitality at school and has had demonstrations on how to make cocktails, so is there anywhere in Hua Hin where you can buy the accessories ie shakers, strainers.

Kendo.

I've seen them before on the ground floor of Index Mall where they sell all the kitchenware but it was a couple of months since I've been in there so I couldn't guarantee it now.

All the white spirits, including triple sec, add sours lemon mix, shaken with ice instead of stirred, coke on top in the glass for a Long Island Iced Tea, or cranberry for a Beach Tea.

Versatile these white spirits are.

Kendo - There will probably be a shaker on sale in the Tesco booze section along with measures and other manner of basic cocktail paraphernalia.

Villa Supermarket has certainly got cocktail shakers and a few other little bits like umbrellas and stirrers in their booze section.

Isn't it amazing how much influence the movies have? Cocktails can bruise when shaken!
Anyway maybe worth trying the kitchen ware shop on the corner of Chomsin and the road behind ChatChai (sorry no map handy at the mo.) They do stock a lot of good quality stainless steel etc. and are always willing to barter a bit.

I have plastic shakers made by Tupperware. They would be perfect for practice but unfortunately I had to have mine bought in the U.S. and brought to me by someone traveling here.

You can get the regular stainless bar ware at Index, Villa Market, and even some at Tesco and upstairs in the back of Hua Hin Shopping Mall.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
