Soft Furnishings

Post by aragon »

I've had a search through the forum and come up with a list of places to get most household furnishing items from (e.g. Index, WOLF, Beautiful World, Power Buy, Big Kiang etc.), but was wondering in anyone had any particular suggestions regarding things such as crockery, bed lined, bath towels etc. I realise you can get these items in Index, but was wondering if there are any other places out there that specialise in this type of product.

I can't remember the exact name but it is something like Thai Wood which is immediately opposite the Royal Palace. The lady who runs it called Mia supplied me with bed linen and towels of the same quality that goes to the 5* hotels and at reasonable prices. She also has a shop in the centre of HH where amongst other things, she sells Thai style cultelry.

There is also one of the 'factory outlet' places with all the wood decking, almost opposite the Sheraton.
Sorry - can't remember the name, but has a very good selection of towels, bedding and linens - good quality and reasonable prices.

It really depends on your budget, but as well as Index, Homepro has nice towels and Fly Now on the north of town has very nice bed linen and towels.

On the cheaper side, try the big Thai markets / Hua Hin Grand night market, or the old shopping mall.

Did a of tour of all normal stores in town recently, looking for high quality bath towels.
Found what we wanted at the outlet mall, they were priced at round about 2 for the cost of 1 in the other stores, though original ticket price was much higher.

Which outlet mall?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
