I'm not going to be able to help you with this, but one thing I can tell you for sure is that you'll need to provide a bit more info about the type of generator.
This is the way

As D-M, said, we really need to know more.
How big? How old? What output? What fuel? etc.
I could possibly be a potential buyer and I'm sure there are more out there.

Hi Barry,
Many thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately we don't know much about the generator. My Partner and I came to help my old dad at a small resort in Huay Yang a few months ago. The generator has been here since he came so must be over 10 years old. The info I have below I got it from the plate I found inside it. I tried to attach photos to this reply but I'm getting file invalid msg and wouldn't attach.
Made: Mitsubishi
This maybe a model no: DH241
Engine size: 13.7l
Output: 245PS
Diesel
Engine speed: 1800RPM
I went on to your huahincruises site but couldn't see an email address.
Thanks again.
Lyn

That is a fair sized lump of an engine, but if it is marked 1800 rpm, then it is a 60 Hz generator. The generator itself should have a nameplate on it with more relevant information, such as KVA rating, Voltage, 1 or 3 phase etc., etc.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!

Re: Where can I sell a second hand generator?
how much are you looking for?
Re: Where can I sell a second hand generator?
Possibly, depending on the size. I need to know how big it is, ie, will it go in the back of a Fortuner?

I got the pics thanks, bit it still doesn't tell me anything about the power rating - it is possible to go and have a look at it?
Re: Where can I sell a second hand generator?
Hi Barry, I've replied to your private email, thanks.
Hi Pleng, We don't know how much these things go for really as it is a very old generator. We would take the best offer.
Hi a10ams, The generator is massive. It takes up most of a small room. We are a small beach resort, I imagine it was used to generate power for the resort at some point before my dad got here 10 years ago.
We are in Huay Yang, just under 2 hours from Hua Hin and 15km before Tub Sakae town. Please feel free to come by to have a look if anyone have some time.
The resort is currently closed for renovation so the phone isn't manned at all time. If you would like to contact me, please let me know and I will pass on my mobile.
Many thanks.

Re: Where can I sell a second hand generator?
Thanks Lyn, a bit out of my league. I'm just looking for something to run an air con and a few lights when the power goes off.
Sounds like yours could almost rival the national grid!
