OK, for long term expats, I can understand the occasional craving for past pleasures..

It's when holiday visitors enquire after the location of the nearest McDonalds before they've even set foot in the LoS that I find rather pathetic..
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly...

Mmmmm. McMuffins. Shame they don't do the breakfast wraps like in England. My GF likes the odd Burger King or KFC, the heathen. Infact, Thais love KFC.

They don't do the McBacon Roll here! It's an outrage! There's nothing worthwhile to go with my McHashBrown. Mmmmm McHashBrowns!

Tis a good point; why is there no beer available at McDonalds here?

I remember in Spain you could get it included with your extra value meal!

Things have changed a lot food wise since my expat days, when the first invader (Burger King) was viewed in contempt by many. ow mnost of the things we used to crave are available - often at a price. But in all honesty I think the old cravings just made the deliveries of goodies even more appreciated. Stuff like Liqorice Allsorts, Paxo, dumpling mix and mushy peas were treasured.
But I've never suffered the Big Mac/KFC etc cravings fortunately so it's never a probelm anywhere. What never fails to amaze me is how people make a beeline for the Big 3 when abroad, even if they are only away for a week.
Good example - last week I was in Denmark with family. A day trip over to Flensburg as usual for us resulted in most of the gang disappearing into Ronalds. All those lovely little eateries around for fish nibbles, cakes and German sausage and they go to MacDonalds! Tsk tsk.
A sprout is for life - not just for Christmas.

None in Italy either. Or anywhere else as far as I recall. Seems unique to Spain.

There are decent Lamb Donners at the food court in Market Village. But, of course, they're not really available when the craving really grabs you. A nice Lamb Donner would be sweet, but I don't think I've ever seen one in Thailand.

Beer is also available at McDs in France - Although for the life of me I cannot understand the attraction on any of these places (McD KFC et all) anywhere, especially over in LOS !!

Strangely enough, there are British foodstuffs available in Hua Hin that I can't get here when I'm working away in Luxembourg. I had an excellent meal of fish and chips a couple of weeks ago from Peppers at the driving range and in the past I've had things like pork pies and scotch eggs from HH Ham and Bacon that you wouldn't have a chance of finding here.
Just for the record, you can't get beer in Mcdonalds here but they have a French chain called Quick Burger that will give you a large one with your burger.
