New Honda CBR500, CB500F, CB500X coming to Thailand

Post by buksida »

The Honda CB500 family offers something for everybody. While all three feature the fuel-injected 471cc parallel twin DOHC engine, 41mm front forks, 17-inch wheels and disc brakes, the three models differ from there on out.

The sporty, fully faired Honda CBR500R gets the CBR1000RR look; the Honda CB500F features a neutral riding position and that naked bike look; while the Honda CB500X gets the look and feel of an adventure motorcycle, an adjustable windscreen, a larger-capacity fuel tank and wider handlebars.

The Honda CBR500R is available in black, pearl, white/blue/red or red and will sell for less than 185,000 THB (ABS about 15,000 THB extra); the Honda CB500F comes in black or pearl white and will be about 15,000 THB cheaper than the Honda CBR500R; the Honda CB500X comes in matte black metallic. Honda has not yet decided on the price of the Honda CB500X.

The Honda CBR500R and CB500F are the first to hit the showrooms in Thailand, and the Honda CB500X is expected to follow mid-year 2013.

Awesome, finally! Anyone want to buy my black CBR250R early next year.
I hope that price mentioned isn't too far off the mark. You can almost bet on some price gouging by the Honda dealers though.

I've seen a couple of CBR500s but only one CBX, I would imagine there is a long waiting list ...

No waiting list for Honda's new 500s, Big Wing Bangkok has them all in stock, you can test ride them also. First service at 1000kms needs to be done at Big Wing (BKK or Phuket). They will deliver the bike also for an additional 5,000 baht.

Will post a ride review and some pics shortly.
