Where Can I Get Certificates Made Up?

Post by Wado-Karate »

My karate classes are getting ready to grade, and successful grading should be acknowledged by the award of certificate e.g. here is one of my old grading certificates:

To keep in the WKF tradition, I need to get this certificate replicated, but without my personal grading detail. The certificate needs to be on good quality paper sized A4. Can somebody please advise where in Hua Hin they could do a good job for me?

I need the finished blank certificates before 18th December.

Thank you for that PET, I hope you can use it to defend yourself if attacked one night :?

Are there any sensible suggestions please? I could get them sent from the UK, but everything I've done so far has been to benefit the local Thai economy - there must be a local business who could do the job.

Maybe your Dad can check with The Observer. The Forum has some connections with them. They used to have a print edition so I'm sure they would have names/addresses of printing facilities nearby.

Next idea is to design it on your computer, or scan in one of your old certificates and then edit out the particulars, then fill in the new particulars. All you would need then is a colour printer and some good high grade paper. Hua Hin Media could help you with all of that. Pete

Thanks ste860, I'm going up to that part of town this morning, so I'll call in. I'll let you know how I get on.

Thank you. I will keep that in mind as a fall back plan if Rhinya Graphics can't do it.

Rinya Graphics are seriously over-priced, I get all of my printing done at a place called Sombat Garnpim in Prachuab town. They usually work on big orders though so you'll have to do a few thousand.

Thanks, but I would need 200 students grading regularly for about 5 years to come even close to using that many certificates. I'd also need larger premises, and a few teaching assistants.

I'll see what Rhinya say, and will walk away if too expensive. As I said, I do have a plan C, where I can get them sent from the UK. However, everything I've done so far has used local businesses e.g.:

- I negotiated made to measure Gi's (karate pyjamas) with a local supplier cheaper than you can buy off the shelf in Bangkok.

- I had the club badge designed and made up locally - based very closely on our parent club's badge.

- The same supplier has designed and provided children's grading badges to a better standard than used by our parent club.

- etc., etc.

I really would like to get the work done in Hua Hin if at all possible.

Mission accomplished :D

I went to Rhinya Graphics, but they could not do it. They sent me to a shop called Samaislip, which is just 4 shops North of the mini-bus place by the traffic lights. They did a 'perfect' job while we waited. The price was acceptable, and certainly not worth haggling over.

Thank you to everybody who offered assistance.
