A friend is back in the UK. Sadly his mother died 4 days ago. He tells me that because the weather has been awful there have been many deaths and they can't do a funeral until April 3rd. On Sunday he went to see the priest to see if there was anyway of hurrying it along--but the priest was away for the weekend!! What do they do for Jews and Muslims??
On the other hand, the district nurse came to the house every afternoon and gave her a shot for pain as the oral meds were not helping. On the last day when she was clearly terminal, she called the Family Dr who was there when his mother died.
