Where to buy inline skate wheels?

Post by wpcoe »

I need to replace a broken wheel on my TravelPro suitcase, and I know that inline skate wheels are a perfect fit. Is there any place in Hua Hin that sells them? I tried the sporting goods store on Market Village 3F, but no deal.

Or, any suitcase replace places? I'm assuming a bona fide TravelPro replacement would be more expensive than a skate wheel, though.

Kind of what I thought. None here, huh?

About every four to six weeks, I make one-night trips up to Bangkok. Any suggestions for a store near the Silom area that might have them? Would the larger Big C/Tesco stores stock them?

Not far from Silom, but do not try and walk there!

Thanks. Looks like it's between Khlong Toey and Queen Sirikit subway stations, so not so far from Silom via MRT.

Am currently on my first trip to BKK since Nereus' post about Skate-Plus. What a great find! The gal that helped me this morning (Rung) was a real trouper.

I had brought a broken wheel, but not the whole assembly, and she worked through all the bits and I think I ended up with a workable solution.

I had no idea there were so many sizes of wheels, much less lengths/diameters of the bolts/axles that hold them on, nor the different types of bearings. Rung can really "think outside the box," an attribute I find scarce here in the LOS.

So, thanks, Nereus for the recommendation!
