Collonade Car Parking is no Longer Free

Post by Big Boy »

I found out this morning that the free car parking under the Collonade Shopping Complex is no longer free unless you spend money in the complex. Otherwise, charges are 20 Baht for the first 3 hours, and 20 Baht for every hour after that.

Yes I had the same experience about a week ago but at 6pm in the evening it was the only place I could find to park, so well worth the 20 baht.

It's not the cost, it's just warning people in case they aren't prepared. Fortunately, this morning I had my wallet (Mrs BB) with me, but I don't always carry cash.

Unusual, I know, but I often don't carry money. If I get taken surprise, there's always an ATM somewhere near. I'd find it frustrating queuing behind a bunch of 5 minute Thais for 20 Baht  .

We walked through there on our way back from the Post Office. There was more open than I've ever seen before.
