Devotees of the Temple of the Cubic Centimeter rejoice, for the 30th Thailand International Motor Expo returns Saturday with the newest engine technologies.

Engines are getting a bad rap for polluting the atmosphere and changing the climate, not to mention the fact oil ain’t gonna last forever. That combined with a critical shortage of natural gas means it’s time to adapt or die.

Thus, the concept of this year’s show is set to be “Innovative Energies - World-Changing Vehicles” to reflect today’s demand for car manufacturers to adapt and bring more alternative-energy power to bear against the problem. Producing more hybrid and electric cars, they say, just might help with that whole greenhouse gas problem. A win-win.

Inside the event, not only will visitors see new cars and motorbikes from up to 38 brands - and all their dolled-up-pretties galore, you will also get to compete for prizes from organizers and enjoy some car give-aways.
