Gardening Services

Post by vistana »

Hi everyone and a belated Merry Christmas, we have a home in HH which is used as a holiday rental but what we are looking for is a relaible gardener to come and water the garden and keep it looking neat and tidy, its not a very large plot so would not take long to water each day.
Can anyone recommend a reliable gardener and what is the going price per month for that kind of service?
Thanks very much

Hi vistana.
Normally this would cost you between 500 - 1000 Bth /month.
Should then include watering, trim of lawn/plants, fertilizer etc.
There are a lot of people doing this, but avoid individuals who only want your money. I think the best way to get the right people is to have a chat with your neighbours to get a tip off.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Vistana,

As Norseman says neigbours are the best people to ask. Most estates have locals who are prepared to do odd jobs for a bit of cash.

As for the cost I found it better to do it on an ad hoc basis and call them in when I needed them. It cost me 200 Baht per time to have all the bushes trimmed (only the garden ones I must point out), the grass cut with a real electric mower, all snake skins and dead lizards removed, a general cleanup and a watering. All rubbish was removed from my property. It was a small garden though, about 30 square meters.

Hi;
I have 6 rais of land and about 2 third are grass. Do you think how much will cost me to have someone to do gardening. Cut growing grass, watering once a week and a little bite here and there. Now I pay my neighbor for 1500 per month but I don't know if he does something in my property since I am not there for 6-10 months/year.

Any suggestions or idea.

Garden Watering

Post by vistana »

Thanks Guess,
That sounds very reasonable, our garden is quite small as well and we would require a similar level of service to you, cut grass, prune bushes etc, and clean up as well as a watering..... does your gardener do other peoples gardens as well? if so perhaps you could pm me with the contact details.

Thanks very much
