Firework Prices

Does anyone know roughly how much a rocket (like the ones below) will set you back here in Thailand. I just need a couple for a show. Will continue to search google, but thought I'd ask here too. Google's not helping me much right now.

Just give us a finger count before and after you set them off.

Fireworks like that are generally for professionals, not backyard amateurs (maybe you have some experience, if so forgive me) but in my experience it leads to trouble for the user a good percentage of the time. I'm from the southern redneck part of the U.S. and I can't count the number of people I met there that had less than 10 fingers because of fireworks like that.

Be careful if you do find where to buy them.

Short answer: poke a hole crosswise through a cigarette, large enough to slide the fuse through, but small enough so it won't fall off. Light the cig well away from the explosives, slide it on the fuse and wait at a safe distance. The limbs and eyes you save may be your own.

I'm no expert, but I always take the necassary precautions when dealing with such dangerous materials.

Thanks for that Homer - it's something I may try. I've made my own black match fuse on a few occasions as I need the 'burn' to be a specific time (Grade 8 chemistry lessons ). Unfortunately it's not as easy as, "Now it's time to watch some fireworks, so sit down and enjoy". I need the 2 fireworks to be in the air at a certain time, give or take a couple of seconds.

Anywho, I'm now speaking with a fireworks company in Thailand to help us (still haven't given me prices). Hopefully I can extend/decrease the fuse to what I need. If not, I'll just make it myself again and join it to the original fuse.

I did think of Uncle Tom first but then thought that... I don't think his firework company is in Thailand or anything to do with Thailand.

The fireworks you are after are on the left hand side. Traveling on petch to bkk just past the second set off traffic lights. Look closely and the is a chinese shop with them out the front. Biggest they have is around 1000 baht.
If you ask the correct way they got these ones that just go boom under the counter. They are 200 each and they are super powerfull, so if you decide you want one of them choose where you throw it wisely. It cost me 3000 baht for the bin in my condo. And yes I should grow up and be sensible
