World Wide Removals

Post by Limey711 »

If any of you have recently moved over to Thailand, preferably the Hua Hin area, could you recommend any firms that you used to move your belongings to Thailand from the U.K.

If possible could you also let me know the costs involved, I know it boils down to "How long is a piece of string" but I would appreciate a rough idea of the cost.

Also when should I be thinking of shipping everything across. i.e. if we are moving first week in September.

As I have said any help or advice would greatly be appreciated.

Regards

Russell

I moved France to Canada and used Robinson's from UK.

If you use a removal company you will be charged the earth.

Just contact a shipping agent in the UK and ask for a container to arrive on your chosen day, load while he waits and off it goes.

We tried removal companys and they wanted a fortune, also they wanted the weight , dimensions, and the value of everything loaded.

How the hell do you weigh your own three peice suite at home???

We used a 20ft container and it cost us around £900 all in plus 20,000bht tea money so they dont open the container.

If you dont pay tea money then remember all your items must be used, ie not brand new products.

Make sure you have your Visa done and you will have no problems.

If you need the shipping agents just PM me and i can give you contacts.

Mike.
