Hi , i have a few ceiling fans in my home ( i find they generally work quite well )
The problems we have now though, is that on 2 of them the speed of the fan is really slow ( amost non existent )
i think it must be the motor inside the fan , as these fans are about 5-6 years old
Is there anywhere or anyone who can come out and repair them , both fans also have lights on them and are a nice design so i dont really want to replace the whole fan.

I doubt very much it is a transformer, as they do not have one. It is more likely a capacitor, and slow running is a classic symptom.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
I have had the same problem with one slowing down after several years and another after a few days of use. Have sent both back to CEI to be "repaired" and they replaced one of the capacitors that somehow seem to go south over time.
A lot depends upon the fan manufacturer and quality as well. Your standard Sunlight fan that costs 1,200-1,500 Baht new won't last more than 5-7 years if run all the time, and makes financial sense just to replace it IMO. I was in a rental house long ago and the Thai woman owner kept repairing our fans over and over again at a cost of around 400 baht each time for the man to come out. She could have bought a new one at least twice over. Pete

I don't know if he does ceiling fans or if you require a house call because they are installed fans, but I took our broken Mitsubishi floor fan to the small shop on the corner of Soi 80 and the railway road (recommended to me on another thread) and he fixed it overnight for 300 baht. It would have cost 2k baht to replace it with one of similar quality. He even returned the broken parts that he replaced in a plastic bag attached to the fan so that I could see what was wrong with it if I wanted to know (it wasn't working at all before I took it in).
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
