That's good I need a few bushes!

Yesterday was the start of this year’s Red Cross Fair at 19 Rai.
As the sun was setting, we took a trip down there to see what was on offer this year. Because this was the first night, many of the stalls were still setting up.
The Red Cross Fair is known for selling things at bargain prices. As an example, we did pick up 4 pairs of branded shorts at 25 Baht a pair – ticket price was $17.99 each.
As we approached it was the usual set up, with many stalls selling a variety of plants – these went from small bedding plants, to fully grown trees.
Next up was the wooden furniture. Probably not the best manufactured furniture in the world, but this stuff is very sturdy, looks quite nice and will last. A lot better than the chipboard stuff many shops sell. This furniture is made with real wood. One item on sale caught our eye, and that was wooden wash basins. I thought they were very ugly, and I couldn’t think where they would be used in a modern house, but an original concept anyway.
Moving on, we entered the side stalls, proper, which was a covered walkway.
Items on sale included:
• Shoes
• Tools
• Children’s Toys
• Pots and pans
• Clocks and watches
• Clothes
• Bags and wallets
• Curtains and bedding
Of course, there were numerous food stalls, selling everything from bugs to sausages.
At the end of the food stalls are a variety of fairground side stalls with attractions such as the usual shooting ranges and pop the balloons with darts type of stalls. Because we were early on the first night, none of this was open yet.
We then doubled back on ourselves, and headed for the fairground rides. These comprised the usual roundabouts, dodgems and Ferris Wheel type attractions.
;
Dead centre of the show ground, there are tables set out in front of the main stage. Surrounding the tables on 2 sides are food and drink stalls selling a variety of food and drink that can be enjoyed while watching the free shows.
We were too early to take in any of the entertainment, but will almost certainly be back for at least one of the shows.
