BANGKOK, 29 August 2014 (NNT) - Chinese tourists reportedly have a higher tendency to travel the seaside resort of Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan province. The provincial governor therefore encourages Thai people to provide them with a warm welcome.

Prachuap Khiri Khan Governor Weera Sriwatthanatrakul said more Chinese tourists would likely visit Thailand especially in Hua Hin since they started to learn more about the famous city. Mr Weera called on Thais to be friendly to Chinese tourists and not to express negative feelings toward them. China would ask its travel agents to advise Chinese tourists about Thai customs so that they knew how to conduct themselves when traveling in Thailand, the governor added.

According to the governor, the Chinese consul to Thailand wants the Thai government to add the Chinese language on various signs since they are not good at English. The governor said the province would proceed with matter immediately as Chinese tourists were one of Thailand’s largest tourist groups."
