Im up for that, this guy has made a massive contribution to the whole music scene. Great guitar work and great melodies, this guy is up there with the best. He seems like one of these guys massively respected by his peers but a little overlooked by the establishment who would rather give a prize to ****** Blue!

Off subject but perhaps URGENT information. Apple is being sued for millions by some idiot in the States who is going deaf by turning the volume on his IPod up too high. His attorney(s) say there is no warning on the device?!?!

When I was small (da, da) my Mom told me (da, da) that if you yell in someone's ear (da, da)...something BAD will happen...UUUGGGHHH. Pete

Paul Wellers reaction to being asked to sing a duet with someone called James Blunt at the upcoming award night.
"No matter how much Brit award organizers want it, don't expect to see Paul Weller perform a duet with James Blunt at this year's awards.

"I'd rather eat my own shit than do a duet with James Blunt," Weller told The Daily Mirror this weekend.

Weller's scheduled to pick up an Outstanding Contribution Award at the Feb. 15 awards show. It's unclear whether he'll perform at all or not at this point".

Do not think that you can go past "Going Underground" or "Eton Rifles" as some of his best music.

In realtion to Dave's comment re the Style Council, saw them here is Australia in the mid/late 80's, and saw a great concert. Their early stuff was great, but did go off a bit towards the end.

Paul Weller is all well and good but you haven't touched on the real master - Des O'Connor. Now there's a true rock 'n' roller. Give the man a couple of shrooms and stand back....wow, legs flailing around like Michael Flatly on speed, all wild of hair and eye! and that voice... Genius.
I haven't even dared to mention the true don - Val Doonican. Can we please have a Val night.. :P We could all whistle till our hearts content, pure magic. Now where's my gob iron?

A Val night, now there’s an idea. JW, have you sufficient rocking chairs to go round and are v-neck sweaters compulsory? :thumb:

Even better, (seriously)

How about a Val/Des and of course the real master, Max Bygraves.

Many years ago i used to be a coach driver and whenever i had a load of retirees on board i played Max.

Earned me a fortune over the years. and i think looking at JW he would love it.

BTW, is JW the father of DR Dave, i do see a resembalnce.

Mike.
