Maybe that should read, "70% of REMAINING foreign tourists unperturbed by martial law." Probably indicating a further 30% drop next year.

I think I can, they only surveyed foreign tourists who had already decided to visit Thailand? Can anyone explain then why hotel bookings and numbers are down by about 60% this year?
If that is the case, presumably the 29.9% whose decision was affected by martial law but still decided to visit are those convinced by the Junta's reasoning that it makes the place safer!
Re: Survey: 70% of foreign tourists unperturbed by martial l
Yep, BB's point also rings true, they've surveyed the tourists that are left which are probably repeat visitors. What has happened is that Thailand has lost a huge chunk of new visitors this year.
