The government has opened several channels for foreigners to lodge their complaints both in emergency and non-emergency to convince them of safety in Thailand, deputy government spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd said.
Maj Gen Sansern said this has been carried out with cooperation between the Prime Minister's Office's public service centre, the Tourism Police Division, ToT Plc and concerned government and private agencies to enable foreigners to file their complaints around the clock.
In case of emergency, foreigners are advised to call hotline 1155 of the Tourism Police Division. In case of non-emergency, they can call Government House's hotline 1111.
From March, a total of 1,793 foreigners have filed their complaints through the two channels --1,734 emergency and 59 non-emergency. Most of the callers --1,633 were British -- followed by 59 Chinese nationals.
To conclude, non-emergency complaints can be filed with the public service centre via four channels: hotline 1111 ext 2; www.111.go.th; P.O. Box 1111, Government House, Bangkok 10302; and a public service booth at Gate No 4 of Government House.
Maj Gen Sansern said in the next one or two months the government will introduce an application "PSC1111" for use with mobile phones to add another channel for the people to lodge complaints.

What they didn't mention is that another 100,000 callers received a recorded message telling them that the hotline was temporarily unavailable.

The 1111.go.th link doesn't seem to work for me.

Ironic that a portal for complaints from foreigners doesn't have a lick of English on it ... I guess that should be the first complaint!

You would think that a portal for complaints from foreigners would be in English.

That's a good way to keep the percentage down
