Question about Tailors in Hua Hin ...

Can anyone help with a legal question I have about the salesmen that stand outside the tailor shops trying to intice you in.
Is it illegal under Thai law to beat them to within an inch of their life outside their shop doors ?
Just wondering like.

I think that the law requires two inches of life to be left unharmed, this is called "salesman´s right" and is an old thai custom originating from Buddha. being a peaceful man, he always left them with atleast two inches
