Loy Krathong Hua Hin 2016

Being new to the area, I was looking forward to Loy Krathong at the beach. However, I was told today that the tide will not take the krathongs out. Where would you suggest I go to float my boat :shock:

I know it is late but I would like to go somewhere

The biggest event is at Khao Thao. Kratongs are floated on the lake. Usually lots of stalls and other activities going on till late. Parking is out of town so quite a long walk to the lake etc.
