I think the only way anybody will find out for sure is by getting a flight to Bangkok only to find that you are not in Don Muang.
It may be a fair assumption then that the airport is open. You may find though that you will have to walk a few kilometres to get any further transport.
The chance of the road, railway, skytrain and airfield all being ready at the same time is zero squared.
Then of course Land Registry Office will have to double check to ensure that not one single square wa is owned by a farang.

Only two days ago, pillars that will support the elevated railway were inspected and some found to be defective. I suppose that it's not too important how people get there and away at the moment, just the fact that the regional "hub of aviation" will have a chance of competing with Singapore and Hong Kong.
Honestly, good look to it and the country. I could easily have a go at the new Wembley etc etc.
September 28th? Check with your airline first.

Ready or not, additional pressure to implement a successful launch may be applied in light of the proposed election, just over two weeks later.
This would certainly offer TRT one glimmer of good news during their election campaign.
Of course it swings both ways, the opposition will not want the new airport to be seen as a success until after the election and could apply pressure to force a delay in implementation.
Could be interesting reading over the coming months.
