Glaucoma at Hua Hin Hospital

Post by thecolonel »

I know there has been reference to Glaucoma in other threads but....

I would like to know the cost of the more advanced Glaucoma test(not Air puff) at Hua Hin Hospital

I know some on here have been to the Eye Clinic there but I have not

Also, whenever I phone HHH last 3 months or so I cannot speak to anyone, not even the Premium clinic (x 7502) who used to answer the phone regularly(weren't especially helpful but at least they answered the phone!).

Has anyone got a number for the eye clinic?

Or do they know the cost?

I'm sure some on here will have had the test done that I want. They put drops in your eyes about 1 hour before and your pupils go really big. Vision is blurred for hours afterwards and driving home is a big no no!

But maybe you had the test elsewhere eg Pairat

But I'd like HHH 's cost please

TIA

One of the HHH eye doctors has a clinic on petchkasem opposite the hospital. It does get very busy though. Can't imagine it being more expensive than the hospital itself which will incide the express clinic charge.

Thank you kindly!

Wasn't answering my calls but then realised on further digging that the clinic operates before /after her shift at the Hospital

09.00 - 12.00

17.00 - 20.00

That'll be why noone is answering phone now! ImageImage

Thanks again @hhinner

The puff of air and any lateral sight test should confirm glaucoma or not.

The drops in your eyes are to test the retina and see the optic nerve.

This message is from a total non doctor.

I went through it all in the UK last month.

Oh, and the opticians had some new machine that scanned the topography of my retina. I'd never seen those graphics before. But it cost me 50 GBP for it and I don't think it was necessary.

Anyway, got two pairs of glasses for 150 GBP from Vision Express with the prescription from the first place. Other than testing, the first place put me off when they said their glasses could cost up to 2,000 GBP.
