We have been fighting termites since we moved into our home . . .and sad to announce that last week they won this round.
Ceiling collapse in one room . .other rooms OK so far. (minimal to no infestation). So the old ceiling is down and cleaned up and we need someone to come in and spray the "attic space" against any remaining termites, replace the gypsum panels and redo the affected ceiling. Any recommendation of a company or person(s) who could take on this project would be much appreciated!! Thanks

Really sorry to hear that! I had a yearly contract with Rentokil for eradication and prevention, but so expensive that I swapped to the team used by our resort manager, but sadly after six months I've yet to see them ....
I think you'll find companies online, but it's best to get a recommendation. I know one but have not used them.

When dealing with termites as per your situation LolaBeltran you need to look at the bigger picture of what exactly you are trying to sort out here.
So you have a specific physical outbreak situation, the little buggers have trashed your ceiling. Treating this area only is going to force the termites to rethink their target and once they have alerted the nest's queen they will usually look for alternative routes to other close by areas of your home and, btw they actually do do this communicating chemically back at the nest.
You need to look at doing a full protection barrier around your home, not just that already damaged part .It usually involves drilling holes into the ground all the way around the outside of your outer walls, hopefully at 30 cm spacings and injecting a deterrent chemical .
If you come across any service people be upfront with them get them to explain what exactly they are offering , be particularly cautious with people wanting you to take on lengthy treatment contracts. I have had some poor experiences along the way with some real cowboy outfits and so I cannot recommend anyone at this point.
Good luck.

I fully agree with Depee. You have to jump on it, and jump fast. Unless you're in a very old house your roof struts should be steel or aluminum, so I don't know what they're chewing on to allow the ceiling to collapse.
The in-ground solution is really the only long term solution. Near term to get them out of your house is to have the entire dwelling tented and gassed. I'm not sure that kind of service is available in this country. You would be out of your house for a week.
All new-builds should have tubes on 2-3 sides of the dwelling protruding from the foundation allowing termite killer liquid to be injected every few months under the house. We do it every quarter and no termites for years.
They will eat your house to the ground if it's primarily made of wood and cellulose material without long term treatment of some kind.

We use CSSG 032-527620. They drill into the foundations around the house then they will fumigate the house every month. They've been around for many years so must be doing something right.
Up Soi 112 from Petchkasem. Turn right into Soi 6 and you'll find them on the left before you get to the lake.

Thanks everyone for the input and suggestions. I believe we are not the only homeowners in Thailand using the "If you see'em- spray'em!" method of termite control. OK granted Chaindrite spray . . .or the Chaindrite white powder probably doesnt affect an underground nest with a queen but it sure does remove the living insects and appears to keep them away from the areas where used. Also, large areas of our house have remained unaffected, including doors, windows, frames, shutters so thats a blessing.
OK I know that there are companies that do the holes all around the house and pump in poison every month (Always been wary as we have carp and dogs) but at this point none of that will help.
We really . . . specifically . . . need a person to come and look at what we have going on in our "attic" crawl space and advise us on what to do. And another person ( most likely) to put the ceiling back up. Could be the same person of course.
As for my previous post on mysterious insects with the white powder . .we have concluded that it is the termites after all and they are eating the paper coating at the edges of the gypsum. Sprayed with Chaindrite and no more "powder"
