HHADventure cruise to Pattaya

Post by Lev »

We are considering organising a HHAD cruise to Pattaya from Hua Hin with an over night stay returning the following day. The itinery would be something similar to below:

Depart Pranburi Marina Saturday morning.
Cruise at a steady pace across the Gulf to Pattaya.
Arrive in Pattaya Saturday afternoon.
Party hard.
Depart Sunday midday from Pattaya and cruise back to Pran.
Arrive back in Hua Hin Sunday evening.

We only have space for 30 aboard the Peacock so this will be on a strictly first come first serve basis.

The trip will take around seven hours and HHAD will provide some liquid refreshment for the journey. Tickets cost 2,500 baht for the return trip and do not include accommodation in Pattaya. Transfer to Pranburi and lunch will be provided.

Providing there is enough demand we can arrange a weekend date probably in October some time. All those interested please reply below, we would need full payment in advance to book the vessel.

Great, gives me time to get the shore battery tuned up. I'll only lob a few shells though port and starboard to assure you're all awake and sober...LOL.

Sounds like fun though as I'll finally get to meet some of you. Let me know when. Pete

PS: Looked at the boat photos and maybe good to check/confirm that 4 hour time to get over here?

I think going back on Sunday with most having a HUGE head will make an interesting photo op of how  everyone can get. :D

Sounds like a great idea - just a shame I'm not going to be there to join in. I hope its an overwhelming success that will encourage you to run many more - maybe next time I'll be around.

As Pete says, the return trip could be interesting - I look forward to seeing the photos.

Just some info for reference that I hope the boat company/crew already knows.

A boat that size can only dock at the new Bali Hai Pier, located directly at the south end of Walking Street. You guys won't have far to go to start getting into trouble..LOL. Anyway, I don't think you can actually park long term at the pier, which means the captain will have to take the boat out and anchor for the night after unloading.

If by some chance the pier is completely full when you arrive, you may have to anchor off shore and signal a small boat to come out and ferry everyone ashore.

I don't know of any phone to call to set up a reservation so to speak, to dock at Bali Hai or, to arrange a deep water mooring spot. Again, hopefully the boat company has contacts. If not, let me know and I'll check around on this side. Pete

Another premature housekeeping issue, but I want to post it before I forget.

Getting 30 hotel rooms in the same hotel in October shouldn't be a problem, but it becomes more difficult the further along in October you get. Also, at the stroke of midnight on November 1, everything changes over to high season rates.

Let me know if you would like me to get involved in finding a hotel. I'll need the type of hotel you all want, your approximate budget, and your names BC when we get to that point. I can probably get some good deals at a few places right on beach road or not far off, again depending on how fancy/expensive a place you all want.

If deposits are required, I'm willing to take care of that also and you guys pay me back when you arrive. If not, you'll never leave Pattaya!. .LOL. Pete

Love to, but I won't be able to get away from the dogs for that long (Not to mention my littl'un!) :) Anyway, sure I'd cramp your style!

Have a good time & I want to see the photos too! :thumb:

Great idea Lev, sorry I can't make it this time but next trip would be very keen.

If you're short of numbers one idea is to advertise on a few Pattaya boards to pick guys up for the return leg.

Many guys from one of the boards said they'd like to visit Hua Hin.

PM me if you need more info.

Am I alone in thinking the majority of people who holiday in Pattaya should be left in Pattaya?
I dont mean for example the board members group going for a good old night out and change of scenery but all those Costa del Thailand types. Hua Hin? No dont go their mate!

BaaBaa, you ever actually been to Pattaya?

Yes, there's all forms of pondlife there, just like in Bangkok, Phuket, Chang Mai and even, good grief, Hua Hin!

Pattaya's the last place I would ever go with a family or as a couple, but for a boy's weekend away, it's one huge party. :thumb:

Met sone great guys through the Pattaya boards, you may be surprised at their occupations.

Yes, was there this year in February for 4 nights.
Never been to Phuket or Chiang mai but Pattaya just seemed to be 70% the sort of ***** i come to get away from back home, compared to maybe 10% in the other places i visited.
Yeah, good night out with the lads.
Still personally think its a dump.
Mai bpen rai. Each to their own.
