The Predator or children are pixelleted anyway.
You have to be joking fellas. Do you think they ask everybody on a beach when they do stuff for travel shows, or at markets, restaurants, tourist attractions etc.? Or even for holiday brochures (my cousin found a big picture of herself in one of those once whilst browsing for a package deal!), web sites or possibly even a student project. Journalism doesn't need to be revelatory - it could be as mundane as any one of those things.
I don't know what this girl was actually doing, Jaime, I just have my opinion. However, in the restaurant, only 4 tables were occupied; this girl's, mine (with my mum), the farang guy & another farang couple. If she was doing a journalism piece, why not walk in, ask the staff if she could do a bit of filming (I'm sure they'd like the "publicity") and film everyone in there? Actually, that was why I originally noticed the camera; I thought she would be videoing everyone &
I wasn't happy about being filmed without being asked (although I was only eating lunch with my mum!)
Her general demeanour, the fact that she was doing her best to disguise the camera & the fact she only focused on this couple were what led me to my conclusion. I might be completely wrong, but if it was for some sort of broadcast & she didn't ask them, that's just as bad. Still photography in a crowded place is one thing, but being filmed like that is, IMHO, an invasion of privacy.
The reason this has got my back up so much is the privacy issue & the fact it seems like a set-up. I didn't see the couple do anything that business associates wouldn't have done (although I did have my back to them much of the time). But are you aware that in the UK & US, women can actually hire attractive young ladies to go into a bar and try to chat up their husbands? To tempt them to see if they
would cheat, given the opportunity? There are companies that specialise in this! If you could hire Western women to do that, how much would it cost to hire a bar girl to do the same, film her with him & use the evidence to get a big divorce settlement? Think about it...
