quark, buttermilk

Post by Bamboo Grove »

More questions from the western hillsfor mr and ms Cooking Persons.

Quark: Has anybody seen this for sale in Hua Hin/Bangkok/Pattaya? Or has anyone tried making his in Thailand?

Buttermilk: Making this seems to be a smelly experience unless you have previously cultured product at your hands. Would this be available in this fair land?

What do you want Quark for? Would it be possible to use a mixture of soft cheese and fromage frais/ yogurt instead?

There are some bakery items I'd like to try out and the recepies call out for quark. Don't know if it can be substituted with the things you mention.

I'd give them all a miss if I were you BG. They will ruin your figure.
