Celtic V Man Utd
Celtic V Man Utd
Does anyone on this forum give my team the Celts a chance tonight? After all, we are up against these mega-stars - one of their players salary is more than our whole team's wage bill. What chance do we have? Man Utd - top of the EPL against players you have never heard of plying their trade in the SPL. Is it worth our while turning up?

1. On paper NO, however as I've stated many times before, this is the underdog's chance on the big stage to impress. The Celtic players will gain a lot more by getting a flukey win than the Man U players gaining a well deserved win. As JW said, everybody loves the underdog.
2. Again on paper, Celtic have no chance. However, everybody has an off night - I seem to remember Man U experiencing just that a couple of weeks ago.
3. Don't worry, they'll turn up - too much money at stake. Of course, in the unlikely event of a Celtic win, there is the added bonus of star billing for a day or two.

My late brother was a passionate Celtic supporter, so I always look out for their results, and wish them all the best for this match.
Am I right (I’m sure you’ll tell me) that Celtic were the first UK team to win honours in any European competition.

Do you have a chance ? - of course you do.
Southend beat United recently much to the embaressment of a team of overpaid individuals, and that is all any team is, a group of 11 people.
Tonight will be a fantastic occasion for both clubs, there's a lot of history between them and it couldn't be a better time for Celtic to impress on the rest of europe what they are capable of.
I will, as always, be supporting United, but want the game to be the winner, and the game is all about big occasions, this is nearly as big as it gets.
There are very few downsides to living in Hua Hin, but I would love to be in Glasgow tonight, whatever the result.
