Love Hua Hin...

Post by rockandrollnomad »

Hello to all at Hua Hin after dark. My first visit was January 2006 and I loved it, so much so I returned January just gone. Compliments to Abon, his girlfriend and staff of The Doghouse guesthouse who made myself and my girlfriend very welcome. Early days but I think you have what it takes to succeed in your chosen business. I look forward to staying at your fine establishment on my return. Say hello to John for me...   Nomad xxx

I also visited Hua Hin for the first time Christmas 2005 after seeing Place in the Sun on TV which was repeated again today.

I loved it so much I bought a house at Natural Hill. Hoping to spend more time there with my husband a friends in the coming years

Good to hear. But can I ask what in particular grabbed your attention?
That's a genuine question.

Firstly it is more family orientated rather than other parts of Thailand. We also like the golf courses as quite a few of our friends play golf on a regular basis and we have yet to learn. The Thai people we have been introduced to are very friendly and have helped us a lot on our visits. There is still a lot of things and places I don't know about Hua Hin which I am looking forward to exploring. I have found this chat room to be very helpful if there are thing I need to find out about the place. The only thing I get upset about are the stray dogs, which as you know we do not have this problem in the UK. I have been in touch with Dawn from the animal resce centre and hopefully I can go and visit her when I come back in April to see if there is anyway I can help. My husband would packup everything here in England and move to Hua Hin tomorrow but that is not something we can do at this present time. We will just come to Hua Hin as much as we can until we decide to move there perminately.

I liked the laid back feel which I thought was more family orientated rather than Phuket and places like that but there was still enough nightlife if you wanted to head down the town for a few beers

I guess at that time it was also a good bit cheaper to buy a house rather than in Phuket, not so sure if that’s still true but the house I bought in HH 5 years ago was real cheap compared to Phuket or other popular places

Hi Mack
you bought at the right time....i came a little later but it was still cheap comparing to now... the good thing with Hua-Hin there something for everyone..if my friends come over whether they are single couple or families..they all fall in love with the place...and if you want to explore the rest of THailand or Asia...you can as its so central and close to BKK airport if you want to go further...i am only there 4 months per year approx...but plannig to be there a lot more soon

When I first started my studies in Hua Hin about 8 years ago I never thought that I would love this Chill Out town Hua Hin so much with my nightly visit to the Night Market to habe dinner I could see and and feel how the town develloped.
I was there in HuaHin when the Night Market was half the size as it is today. and there was the Hua Hin Night Bazaar Market with Restaurant where I regulary ate Wiener Schnitzel for around 110 Baht each time ehwn I finished the Midterm and Final Exams. Yeah the Market @ San Paolo Hospital was also a spot where the most of my fellas from my Univ. where more for dinner and shopping!
Ohh yeah I can still remember when me and my friend rode to the road along the Canal to take a look @ Paradise discoteque back then. up until that piont the road was paved from that point on it was just a gravel road through the wood.
Can anybody remember the Pub Doodles? It was that place where as we know today The Hua Hin Brewing Comapny. Ohh yeah these where the days where my fellas and mates do the partying.
Resume Hua Hin has develloped and I lke this town very much I I can imagine to live there just as my friends does!
