Courier Service in Hua Hin?

Post by Farang »

,
Does anyone know if there's a courier service in Hua Hin such as
DHL, TNT, UPS, FedEx or some other service doing a better job than Royal
Thai Mail?

HHAD business directory claims there's a DHL in HH, but the telephone
number is one digit short, so I can't even phone them.
I've tried to locate one in HH through the net, but, alas, all in vain.

Damn this in-between hamlet. We have traffic and other city-like problems
but services of a fishing village.

I've found the express EMS system offered at Thai post offices to be very reasonably priced and reliable, e.g. packages from Khon Kaen or Bangkok deposited in the afternoon arriving in Pak Nam Pran the next morning

DHL courier on Petchkasem nr the old Hot Pot (same side). Can't remember the name, something like Thai Courier? Yellow signage with red writing, anyway.

Hi there Mr. farang

I heard from a friend and fellow graduate of Stamford Univserity that in Petchburi might be a DHL office responsable for the Cha Am, Hua Hin, Pran Buri Area. but she's has not confirmed it yet. to make sure just contact there website in Thailand and look around. In the past there was a small FEDEX centre. in front of the Hua Hin Gran Hotel. but it was replaced by the Boxing and Marial Arts school.

There is also a TNT service available - go to their website http://www.tnt.com/country/en_th.html and you can arrange everything from there, or call them. I had a package picked up from my home in Hua Hin to be sent to the Isle Of Man, because EMS won't deliver there! That also applies to the Channel Islands and a number of other places worldwide. It was cheaper than EMS too if I remember correctly.

Quite as Dawn pointed out, here is a DHL service on Phetskasem road, very near Tessaban and directly across
from Ayutthaya Bank. One must deliver the package there before 12.00 as at that time it is transported to BKK.

Thankee y'all

If you call Fedex Service Centre in Bangkok Toll Free 1800 236 236 they will tell you what arrangements they have for pick-ups in Hua Hin.
