Hi there everyone!
The English Premier League is widely regarded as the most popular soccerleague in Thailand and all over the world. Soccer on the British Ilse are among the Top of the world leagues there is.
Besides the EPL are there any Bundesliga fans in Hua Hin?
The most popular team in the Bundesliga which also competes in the European Championsleague has to be Bayern Munich! They had won 20 Bundesliga titles in their hands and concidered themselves as the riches club in Germany. There are a few numbers of European players in the Bundesliga such as Schalke 04, Werder Bremen and Borrusia Dortmund,
Hertha BSC and Bayer Leverkusen.
I have to admit that the german style of soccer is not as quick and fast paced as the Kick and rush sytem played in the Premier League. But it has its certain charm.
After the Winter break from Mid December to End of January and now 7 matches to go we have 4 teams who can clinch the Meister Title Schalke 04, Werder Bremen, VfB Stutgard and Bayern Munich. Playing for Eupean Football spots are the Teams Leverkusen, Hanover, Nurenberg and perhaps Hertha Berlin. The golden Middle spot has been talen by Arminia Bielefeld. From 10th place to 18 place the fight for the reletgation is on. only five points are the gap from 10th place to the 1st relegation place so the fight to avaoid relegation. so this season is much more fun then previous seasons befoee.
Are there people in Hua Hin who are Bundesliga Fans besides me? Any opinions about the Bundesliga are very welcomed.
your's the understudy!!!

It's funny how certain teams, no matter their domestic form, always seem to do well in the CL. Bayern Munich must be in the all time top 3 best teams regarding CL form. Liverpool have done better than Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd in the CL both past and present. My club was the first British team to win the European Cup. They usually defeat English clubs past and present but are always told "we were lucky" so we accept that until the next game

Yes Jockey and also ask all the Aberdeen fans who heard Brian Moore utter those immortal words (Another Great British Victory) towards the end of the game where they beat Hamburg.
In all the time that us English have won the EC and CL, never once heard it refered to as a British Victory (Bless You Brian and who have followed in your footsteps)

The Understudy, sometimes on a Saturday afternoon I wander over the border from Luxembourg to Trier.
You must have seen this: where one of the TV channels, perhaps Premier, shows the highlights of all the Bundesliga matches live at the same time, fiercely switching between games following the action.
I sometimes watch this in a bar and it’s entertaining, but at times very confusing, especially if you don’t understand the commentary; you can end up convinced that there are about six teams on the pitch!

Hi there STEVE G.
Sorry for my belated post!
Ohhh Yeah I had seen this before it was formerly on Premiere but now from this Season on it's on another provider called "arena TV" which Broadcasts Bundesliga and Spanish Division Footvall Live exclusively. They won the exclusive rights and snatched it away from Premiere Cable Company who was the Original exclusive Live Broadcaster for fiive years.
The fiercly switching from one live Game highlight to another and when a Goal is scored somewhere the Commentator of The another Highlight yells into the Mic "Goal In Berlin" and the scene switches to that Game immediatly is what we call it in TV terms "Conference calls"
Ohh yeah it can be confusinf if you don't understand the Language this exporience a few friends from of mine from Thailand had made when they visited me here in Deutschland. I had to explain them the concept just as I had above and they were stunned.
I said to them: "How else coulld you Broadcast all the Bundesliga Games which plays at the same time?"

I have to say that this approach to broadcasting football does not really sit very well with me; the Beautiful Game is not just about the goals but about the whole thing - great saves, great tackles, great passing movements and everything else in between. Some of the best games I have ever seen have ended 0 - 0 (although there have been plenty of duds too!), and the creeping obsession on TV with just the goals and this horrendous sounding German coverage ruins the game. But then again I'm a West Ham fan so what do I know...

Yo The Current Situation in the Bundesliga
Only six Games left to Play and Schalke 04 Kept the Lead @ 1st Spot followed by VfB Stutttgat and Werder Bremen, UeFa Cup places are reserved Temporarely by Bayern Munich and Nurenberg.
From the 7th spot onward all the way to the 17th spot every Team is in Danger of relegation. In this Season there's no midfield only 5 points separates the 7 and the 17th second relegation spot. Three losses in a row and your more tahn certain to relagate. The 18th relegation spot is all ready taken by 1. FC MoenchenGladbach which it would take a miracle for them not to relegate to the 2. Bundesliga. Now the Teams who are in DAnger of relegation. VFL Wolfsburg, Energy Cottbus, Hertha BSC Berlin, Hanovoer 96, Alemania Aachen, Hamburg SV, Borrusia Dortmund, Eintracht (Unity) Frankfurt, Arminia Bielefeld and VFL Bochum!!!!
