Photo of the month?

Would anybody be interested in having a photo of the month competition?

It would be in a poll format where the top ten contenders are displayed and voting is cast.

Photos would have to be your own work and unaltered aside some brightness/contrast tweaks, submitted before the end of the previous month.

Winners would get some HHAD merchandise or beer or whatever, could have a Hua Hin only category, miscellaneous category etc etc ...

Anyone?

Perhaps a catagory which would cater for us overseas.
No need for prizes.

Sounds a good idea - give it a go and see if it flies.

In the unlikely event of me ever taking a photo good enough to enter, let alone winning, you can save the beer vouchers until my next visit.

are these Hua Hin/Thai photos or ones from anywhere?

if you want my view, which I'm sure you don't but I'm going to give it anyway, it ought to be the former.

Good response so far, there will probably be two categories, a Hua Hin/Thai one and a general one for all other photos.

How many of those interested would be able to submit photos? We'd need about 8-10 per month to make it viable.

My all time fave photo of HH is on print only, taken by chance, as a police bike travelled down the night market as it was being set up in the early evening, full of activity and long shadows. But but now have digital (currently in LOS with the wife) - so the general section would be of more interest.

Village photos anyone? Thai events in the uk? Boring holiday snaps?
