Windows goes on Safari!!!

Post by The understudy »

Hallo and Good DAy Y'all

Yep Windows goes on Safari! Which doesn't mean that you take your Windows based Laptop and taking it on a real Safari though the Kalahari National Park in Africa no no not that, This means that Windows XP and Vista owners can download the Beta version of Apple's Internet Browser Safari 3 for free!!! Apple claims that Safari is twice as fast as Internet Explorer 7, and 1.5 times faster than Firefox.
When I first used Safari with my friends mac last year and I was stunned the expirience was so much better then IE 6 @ that Tine, After I used it a couple of times I was searching for it on the Internet of there's also a Winodws Version. No, Nada, Nein, Nyiet, There was none. until Yesterday,
I just downloaded it and it's up to the speed that it says but with a few minor flaws as it is a Beta test Version, Expect the full Safari 3 Version in October of this year.
What do y'all think Will your Windows go on Safari (browser) too?
Just like itunes on windows Apple Inc. tries to woe users to swtich to Apple Products.

May give it a test run but I'll be very surprised if it can beat the functionality and stability of Firefox 2.0 without screwing up pages that were designed by amateurs targeting only IE users

I have used Macs for 20 years now. While Safari is very stable, once I changed to Firfox there is no going back for me, much faster. Maybe Safari has been upgraded since I stopped using it about a year ago, who knows, but while I am not having any problems with Fireox, I'll stick with it.

For the experienced users Firefox 2 is much better in speed, reliability as well as the continuous development of free add-ons.

Since the Safari is still a beta-version, caution is advised.

Looking forward to see the new Firefox 3 at the end of June.

Obviously the maturity level will take another 6 months, but there is no going back to M$ Internet Explorer again.

I upgraded to Firefox 2 or even 4 (if that's even been invented) and I can't see any difference, except small things on the display.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't go back to IE.
So what are the benefits of the Firefox "new one"?

You can download the Firefox from here:

http://www.mozilla.com

and while you are at it maybe it's a better idea to get rid off Outlook/Express as well.

Try Thunderbird.

Good luck

Yo It's me understud

Errr! After using the Safari for a couple of hours I decide to switch Firefox instead I'll keep IE 7 for Backup. My first expirience with it was the flaws that where in this Better (BETA) version are not what I had expirienced on the mac. as expected with an BETA version Therefor I'm gonna download the final version in October as Backup and throw away my IE 7.
See ya!
