Taking the plunge!!

Post by Don East Stand »

Hi, after months and months of reading your forum I have eventually taken the plunge and joined up. We intend retiring to Hua Hin early next year and hopefully our house is being built at present. Without bumming you up too much I have found the forum to be very helpful and also quite entertaining on occassions.

Looking forward to even more help and support in the months and years to come, keep up the good work.

You can sleep when your dead.

If he's a 'Don', it could be Plough Lane, Selhurst Park or Milton Keynes ??

Or the team that now play out of Kingsmeadow, in Kingston - AFC Wimbledon (they share with Kingstonian). Two levels below what I would call conference, but still with crowds that would shame some in League 2 (old Div. 4).

Plough Lane (the ground) is currently being developed into a massive apartment complex - its big! Drive past it when heading to Wimbledon Market on a Sunday sometimes (life is very exciting here).

Anyway, back to Don.....

Chelsea used to play there a lot pre-season didn't they ?

Might end up being a suitable ground-share for you if Roman gets bored and looks for a new toy

Sorry, Don, appears your thread's been hijacked! :D

Welcome to HHAD, from (the) one member who really couldn't give a hoot about football.

Never understood why girls were allowed inside grounds anyway :D

There's a possibility that as he has a perceived reference to football in his username, that he might welcome that line of chat, easy way to get himself aquainted and all that.

Blokes always find it easy to strike up a conversation about football, we have a very limited conversation range you know!!

Then again, me and Caller have probably called it wrong and he's really an Italian 'Don' who buried his last victim under the foundations of the East Stand at the new Wembley.

Burger,

Although I'm a mere female, I'm quite aware that the OP's username indicates that he may just be interested in football.

Are you acquainted with the smileys on the left hand side of your posting screen & what they indicate? That's the second time you've taken a post of mine at face value, completely ignoring the smileys in it.

Dawn, I don't understand you recently, it has been you that has reacted to two of my posts in a certain way, when you were not even mentioned or referred, nor were they aimed at you at all. :D

Up to you, it's boring me :D

You seemed to have a friendlier atmosphere before when taking money for the dog rescue place :D

PS: I've put a :D after everything so it doesn't really mean what it says

It's rather dull to read again and again that you donated some money to HHDRC Burger.
I have also been given money to that organization without telling the whole world about it.
All you have to do is put some notes in the money boxes located several places in town.
