If you really didn't want to know the answer, why the hell did you ask me the question!!!

Throughtout Thailand you don't really have a choice other than True(previously UBC) if you want program selection, although many repeats, especially on the movie channels. Get the GOLD package for normal viewing. The PLATNIUM package for extra sports, Disney channels, a few Discovery channels, and I think three separate HBO channels, plus some other stuff. PLATNIUM is really if you sit and watch most of the day and night. GOLD is 1596 Baht I think and PLATNIUM about 2000 per month. Plus a few hundred extra if you hook it up to more than one set in your house.
There's a previous thread where I mentioned J-Sat. You can get that but it's quite a big deal with large dishes that rotate to find signals etc.
Maybe someday, someone will start up a competitive source, maybe in the year 2525?

What they show may be stolen, but they're not very good theives.
We paid our usual 300 Baht (I actually thought it was 500 Baht, but does that include 200 Baht connection fee?) for our August visit - the only decent thing on TV was the news (not that we were there to watch TV).
It would have been much better if they had stolen something more entertaining.

They've been doing it ever since I've been here.
Premiership and everything?

I'm pretty sure that they steal whatever they can. So, some movie channels and BBC World Service.BaaBaa. wrote:Anybody???BaaBaa. wrote:So you get all the satellite stuff off the cable company in town for 300 baht a month?lomuamart wrote:Havn't you all realised that for 300 Baht, the local cable channel "steals" the satellite stuff?

The BIG stuff, like sports, is clamped down on by the operators very quickly these days.
The trash, other than news, they feed us. It's piracy.
Edit: You also have no idea of what they may serve you with day-to-day.
