Charity Shop
Since the charity shop for the Dog Rescue closed down, does anyone have any suggestions for where to give decent second hand clothes to? Is there an orphanage or other charity shop in town?

Had the same problem ADW - asked the students and colleagues about any charity shops and they gave me 'that look'. What are you talking about? They don't seem to exist here, unlike the UK.
Plan B: I bundled all the stuff into a couple of bin bags and took it to a construction site on the campus. Once they realised that this was free stuff, and the bags didn't contain anything dangerous, they were round them like bees round a honeypot.
There are always people very much in need of work clothing or extra clothing (especially as it's getting a tad nippy). Find a construction site, get the attention of anyone who's looking at you (not difficult), smile, point at the bags and say 'Cheun Ka/Kap'. They'll make very good use of your unwanted clothing, and, maybe, think that farangs are really quite nice people.
