Has anyone else seen rural Thai’s when they put talc on a frog, let it hop around for a while, then catch it and look for clues to winning lottery numbers in the patterns?

Not seen it myself, I'd like to though, would probably wet myself watching them do it! According to Mrs C though, some of my sister inlaws use the old frog & talc trick. strangely enough though, they're still skint. :D

An essential part of playing pool over here more like! Unless of course you're no good at pool, in which case it won't matter...

most Thais put the cooling talc on tried it once and then went for a pee not recommended to get on your hands to transfer somewhere ells. But when night falls and they have all had the abnam, out they come covered in white talc ,and of course in there pyjamas.

As we all know - the Thai Nation - particularly the women - are obsessed with being white skinned.

You have black si dum skin means you are poor and work in the fields.
You have white si khao skin means that you are better off and dont work outside.

:lies:

All of this is of course horse5hite - but is rammed down the throats of locals by non stop media hype, womens magazines / journals and TV presenters who resemble ghosts!

Just check out the number of adds for skin whiteners, whitening pills, skin scrubs and cosmetic surgery in Thai womens magazines - it's obscene!

The talc is applied as a cheap skin whitener + belief that it also protects from sunburn etc etc etc

Mrs. T stopped using it when she went to UK with me and realised that ther are an equally daft number of western females who spend fortunes trying to get the darker skin colour (Tan)

The winners of course are the cosmetics companies who should be deep fried in batter and served up with a huge dollop of chilli paste up their rear ends. :guns: :guns:

I feel better now.

If the frog and talc trick doesn’t get you a winner, there is another one that involves the patterns on turtle shells that you might want to try. I’ve never completely understood how you get the numbers from the patterns though so I’m still working for a living.

That's why all the fortune tellers, seers, prophets, soothsayers, precogs, warlocks, mages, sages and the rest of bluffers work, too!
