two weeks ago i picked up my friends from Swampi Airportand we went straight to HuHin ready for some good golf
after an organised party we left there at midnight for a quickglance only in the HH hilton
only having had a few drinks we enjoyed a beer and since teh smoking ban is enforced in the Hilton disco there we decied to get a quick smoke outside, my friend left his beer on the counter, even telling me, they will look after the beers, we were standing next to some girls I had never seen before in there ( im a regular there,staff and regulars know me 2)
at 1:30 am I decided to call it a day and we left, followed by the 2 ladies, they where not invited by us and said the knew another great spot, to my suprise my friend said, Ill join them, I just said, well in that directtion there is nothing , but up 2 U , Ill hit the sack
I left onmy bike, and came to his hotel the next day, to find his room unslept, i had a bad feeling allready, either he was drunk, and sleepy after the jetlag, or had a great time with the ladies or...
well at 3Pm I was picked of the goldcourse by the staff telling me my friend called and I rushed back
DRUGGED.
600 euros, cell phone, luckely they left him his passport and his CC was not on him whe he went out, he had a this on him and was not aware, otherwise he would have to leave it behind after my ruling.
looking back I hardly remembered how I cam eback and felt bad in the morning as well , other friend said I was absent when they saw me.
did I drink of his beer or did they manage to drugg me to?

1 BIG mistake. NEVER EVER leave your drink unattended.
2 BIG mistake. Do not leave we a friend leaves with strangers
3 BIG mistake. Never carry to much cash
4 Mistake. Be informed
went to the BiB, report made, they told us there was nothing they could do as he could remember nothing .
Informed the Hilton staff and some regulars ( thai and Farang). we now Actually know who did it but as there are not evidences against them, there wil be no LEGAL actions. They are banned from hilton, and some action will be undertake against them for which I have paid some cash (illegal actions)

I remember a similar story to this a while back. It looks as if HH is starting to attract the pattaya types which is a shame but unavoidable as the place gets more tourists.
You say you paid for some special retribution, good!! why should they get away with it.
Lets hope a couple of broken legs or some permanenet facial scarring will make them think twice before doing it again...

Firstly, bj - you can't be sure your friend was drugged. It doesn't sound as if you were. Maybe he was just drunk? It's very unfortunate he got robbed, but would he go off with strangers and/or be carrying 600 Euros on a night out in his hometown?
Wouldn't a more suitable 'punishment' for these girls be to put up posters about them warning others (with pictures if possible) in relevant places?
To pay for physical harm to these girls for something which is at least 50% your friend's fault is disgusting, IMO. And if your friend can remember nothing, how can you be sure that they were responsible for robbing him? Maybe he fell asleep on the roadside & a passer-by took his money...

Happened to a mate of mine in Bangkok a number of years ago. Took a 'new girl' back to his room from the BeerGarden on soi 7 and had exactly the same happen to him, lost a bunch of money, quality watch, passport etc.
He remembers she was insistent in making a coffee & ensuring he had one too before starting anything. It was mid afternoon before he came round.
The BiB insisted he provide a blood sample to identify the chemical used which was apparently going to help them in their investigations.
Needless to say no one was ever caught. He went back to the Beer Garden that night (where he had been a regular for a number of months)& asked around but of course none of the other girls or staff had seen her before. First night, first score. Never seen again!

1. Never leave an unfinished drink on the bar, either take it to the toilet with you or finish it and sponge a new one when you get back.
2. Sadly it is best to trust no one except your parents and Bruce Forsyth.
3. Always use a wall safe or eat your money before falling asleep.
4. Take pictorial evidence, always useful for identification if necessary. By that I mean photograph the face..!
5. If offered a drink you did not make yourself try the old switcharoo or spill it.
6. Smear your phone, watch, passport and camera in excrement. See who decides to steal it then!!

Nice one Randy, but I have to agree with Dawn here - the thought of taking revenge like that seems like a knee jerk reaction to a situation with no hard evidence. True, it shouldn't happen in the first place, but it does (and not just in LOS.) Spiking drinks is so common now in UK that you can get bungs and suchlike for your bottles.
I would put it down to a very unfortunate experience and beware of any fall out from having people 'sorted out'.

Good advice but smearing my watch wallet and camera with excrement you would be the only customer in the bar the smell would be horrendous.
Thinking about good idea if you do not want friends and not be bothered by anybody, and free drinks coz the bar staff would probably do a runner as well.

A few days ago my girlfriend(farang) and her mate went for a dance in the Hilton while I went for a beer with my mate just down the road. We met up an hour later to go home. Immediately I thought she was acting weird. She was babbling, not making much sense, telling me she felt really strange. Looking at her I would say she was 100% drugged. The next day she had a bad come down and threw up blue stuff (she had no blue drinks). I then found out my mates girlfriend had been in a similar way and had slept for 22 hours in a comatose state.
The next day my girlfriend told me there was a guy who came up and grabbed her tits while she was waiting for the toilet(her drink was with her friend), shortly after this she started to feel very strange and can't remember much. At this point I turned up. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't met her???
Best advise would be, don't go in the Hilton ever! It's total shit and full of scum bag rapists and thieves. That was my girlfriend's first time in there and it will certainly be the last. The worrying thing is these people will probably be in there drugging some more girls tonight.

Do your best to look after your friend .Most of mine do not listen first time here so I make sure I take them to good places where I know they will be steered in the right direction .Some still do not listen .
BTW I had to carry my girlfriend to bed having visited the Hilton after the comedy night and she can hold her ale .She did not wake up until mid afternoon . ??????? I put it down to all the free tequilas this time but take heed of the OP .
Money talks but if you want to use that fact I would suggest addressing the issue with the Hilton management at the highest level .The hotel will hurt financially over a bad reputation after all .It would be polite if you are to continue frequenting the place to address the matter with the F&B manager first to avoid he and his staff losing face .If he is not sincere and cooperative then escalate the matter .

the most common drugs used in this type of scam, like ghb & rohypnol takes effect between 15/30 minutes of being ingested.
the victim will appear in an extremely drunken state & incapable of walking unaided, so not necessarily out of place in a busy nightlife area.
it doesn't make sense for a girl to slip it into your drink in the hilton because, firstly, she has to get you down the stairs of the hilton
, not an easy task 
& then get you back to wherever you are staying.
the chances are in this, & most cases, the drugs were probably used at the final destination, in a nightcap of some discription!?!

Redzonrocker - I have read rohypnol takes effect very quickly - sometimes as quick as 10 minutes after being taken, but it only reaches its peak eight hours later when it can render a person totally unconscious. There would be enough time to allow a victim to stagger down the stairs at the Hilton in an apparent drunk state, but by the time they got home the effect would be much more debilitating. It's about ten times stronger than Valium.
