Pavena issues warning after victims speak out

A warning has been issued by a women's foundation about coffee and orange juice said to be spiked with a sex stimulant being given to unsuspecting women. Sold as instant coffee and orange juice in packets, the drink is suspected to be heavily laced with an aphrodisiac.

It leaves drinkers excessively aroused, according to Pavena Hongsakula, chairwoman of the Pathum Thani-based Pavena Hongsakula Foundation for Women and Children.

She said the drink is especially dangerous to women because it triggers an uncontrollable urge to have sex with the men who set out to take advantage of them.

Ms Pavena said she was told about it three weeks ago by a university student named Bee.

The young woman said she knew a man through an internet contact and the two eventually met in person over a meal at the man's house. The man made her a cup of coffee which he said was a new formula health drink.

Bee drank the coffee and shortly afterward she felt a surge of arousal and an instant desire for sex.

She then agreed to sleep with the man, Ms Pavena said.

After the girl returned home, she regretted losing control of herself. She suspected she had been under the influence of the coffee.

Ms Pavena said Bee approached the foundation and asked that it spread a word of caution about the coffee.

Ms Pavena said her foundation heard a similar story from a bar hostess. A bar patron offered her a cup of coffee which smelt very aromatic and tasted sweet.

About 10 minutes after drinking it, she became dazed and felt a ''sudden unstoppable sexual excitement'' which drove her to have sex with the customer.

The hostess said she had a hangover the next day.

Ms Pavena said the foundation earlier got hold of the packets of the instant coffee and the orange juice mailed in by an anonymous sender.

According to instructions on the packets, the coffee is to be mixed with hot water and it is available for both women and men. The orange juice is for women only.

Ms Pavena said it was most important to know what was in the instant coffee and orange juice as it posed a danger to women's safety.

Although the drinker had consensual sex, she had been manipulated into doing so without her knowing it.

The contents of the packets would be sent to the Food and Drug Administration for testing.

Hmmm. Copious amounts of a certain amber liquid seem to have a similar effect.

I think that Ms. Paweena (should be spelt with a 'w' and double 'e') should perhaps take the blinkers off her probably lovely, brown eyes.

Reading betweens the lines, boy meets girl, boy and girl have a bit of fun in bed, girl feels like a tart because she's only just met him - so let's point a finger at the coffee (or orange juice). It wasn't me it was....

If Ms. Paweena would be kind enough to publish the name of said instant aphrodisiac, I'm sure their sales would rocket - and they may get the nobel prize for 'Services to Humanity'.

Yes VS, Could well be, things are rarely what they seem at first but it's possible that some type of drug may be used.

Apparently in Clubs and bars in UK, drinks get spiked with various things that incapacitate people and make them more vunerable to preditors.

But there again, a variation of what you said, "It wasn't the bottle of Vodka, I must have been drugged"

Most of the drugs in the UK and US, which would include particularly Rohypnol, Gamma Hydroxybutylate (GHB) and even Valium are de-inhibitors. They are not stimulants as such. Many of the incidents on Samui are related to one or other of these drugs, and the common side effect is one of amnesia (something happened...I think... but what), with apparent certainty only returning after several days when the drug has long since been metabolised away. I have been drugged this way myself (on Samui, for the purposes of robbery) so I can confirm that this is what happens (commonly, the drug is frozen as a solution to look like an ice cube and either placed onto an ice bucket when someone orders a 'set', or directly into the drink - usually by a member of the bar staff who is part of the gang).

If anyone can find me a drug which stimulates an urge for sex, then let me know. I can make millions off it! :D

Seriously though. There are substances which can get women going (saw palmetto are yohimbine are the 2 I know of), but unless it is something new, then I suspect the 'embarrassment after vodka' explanation is more likely. There is a world of difference between making someone horny, and it stimulating a desire for sex.

For anyone that has an interest. The subject to research is nootropics, or smart drugs. And this is a reasonable place to start http://www.nootropics.com/
