On Takiab beach there are a few farang who store jet skiis and small powerboats. Bluewave Ocean sports will launch and look after your craft for a fee. Not sure what they charge. I think minimal. There's also a marina in Pranburi.

Charlesh, what is exactly a “tinnie”? In the UK it’s a can of beer and is launched by popping the ring and pointing at your throat! As to boats there is a marina at Pak Nam Pran about 25 km South of Hua Hin.

Steve G, a tinnie is Aus is a can of beer but is also a small metal hull boat that has a small outboard attached to the back of it.
Some people are brave and/or stupid enough to put them to sea, but they are more suited to rivers.

Ah yes, I found a picture of one:

You wouldn’t want to go to sea in that; your hat might blow off!

I think "the passenger should can swim to help another one and yourself" is particularly worth noting.

Also I would always hope the Captain had "Lists in the Certificate like the true"

I like-“Don’t take fright when the boat lean or rock because of the other boat, try to hold the squat of your seat.”

Rules

Those rules are hilarious. It boggles my mind that with so many good English-speaking Thai in the area, they end up with signs like this. Are they supposed to be informative or entertaining?
