insulation
Why would you want insulation in a hot country like Thailand
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.
Housing insulation
to keep the heat out.
have a white roof, plenty of vents. as the heat builds it will be pushed out through the vents as hot air rises. build two good quality bricks thick with a cavity. if you want insulate the cavity but no need.

I lived in the high desert for 20 years. With temps hitting 120 degrees Believe me insulation makes a big difference in keeping the house cool.
I would try the spray foam if it can be found here. Seems I saw some houses being built in the Pattaya area using that.
You can add a couple of vent fans in the attic to blow out the excess hot air. they can be set to go on automatically when it hits a certain temp.

If you copy on line from the cambridge dictionary, please copy the full meaning as I have now
From the cambridge dictionary
insulate (COVER) Show phonetics
verb [T]
to cover and surround something with a material or substance in order to stop heat, sound or electricity from escaping or entering:
You can insulate a house against heat loss by having the windows double-glazed.
AS PER ABOVE HEAT LOSS does not mentionkeeping heat out try the oxford the recognized version far better
Any way the subject is a lot of hot air

lindosfan, what is the point of your argument?? Its a substance used to reduce the amount of heat that passes through your roof....call it what ever you want.. when you come up with a new name for it please let us all know, and maybe let the material suppliers in HH know too.
complete waste of time....
complete waste of time....
lindos they give 1 no. example after each definition as a guide.
under 'insulation' their example is: "The animal's thick fur provides very good insulation against the arctic cold"
ever seen a polar bear wrapped in 6" rock wool?
